H410, Iron-On Interfacing with Support Threads, Samples, Vlieseline H410_sample

Top quality Vilene iron-on interfacing. Adds stiffness to other fabrics in for instance brims, cuffs, waistbands, zipper holes, etc. Useful in many gear projects.

This quality has support threads, which stop stretch in one direction, but allow stretch in the other. Non-stretch suppport threads lengthwise. Material stretches crosswise.

Excellent companion for softshell fabrics.

This is a soft interfacing which is very good for all stretch and non-stretch materials. It provides a soft and stable support especially for stretch materials. Does not change the look of the material. The interfacing has a cross grain two–way–stretch.

Instructions

Please make sure when cutting: obey the stretch of the interfacing. A collar, zipper front or pocket area may need the non-stretch way of the interfacing in order to avoid e.g. a wave-like-look of the zipper or a stretched out neckline after sewing on the collar.

Applying:
Put the interfacing, glue side down, onto the reverse side of your material, cover with a damp cloth, have your iron set on 2 dots, carefully set the iron onto the damp cloth. Do not press the iron, but rather lift it up and set it back down onto a new area. Move the iron every 6 seconds. Cover the whole interfacing area this way, the overall applying time for the interfacing is 12 seconds.
After this process allow 10-15 minutes for cooling.
